Infrastructure

The Algae Business Unit has four processing plants in Chile located in Vallenar, Colina, Coronel and Quellón, where an average of 120 people work. The plants have state-of-the-art technology to process the algae according to the quality standards defined by the company and which allow us to deliver high-quality finished products to our customers.

Quellón

  • Artificial drying of Red Seaweed
This plant located in the south of Chiloé, has a modern algae dryer that allows to quickly process the algae that are purchased in a fresh state, thus ensuring the best quality of raw material for the hydrocolloid industry.

Colina

  • Red Seaweed Plant
Plant located in the central zone with excellent climatic conditions for drying the raw materials that are shipped from the south of Chile. Its productive capacity is 3 thousand tons per year.

Coronel

  • Red Seaweed Plant
Plant located in the VIII region strategically located due to its proximity to Broad & Narrow Leaf supplies. Its productive capacity is 2,000 tons per year.

Vallenar

  • Brown Seaweed Plant
This plant is located in an area of ​​climatic excellence that allows a good drying and process of the brown algae of Northern Chile. It has dry and wet grinding fields and grinding lines, processing products of different grain sizes according to the clients' requirements. Its capacity is 20 thousand tons of finished products per year.
