The Algae Business Unit has four processing plants in Chile located in Vallenar, Colina, Coronel and Quellón, where an average of 120 people work. The plants have state-of-the-art technology to process the algae according to the quality standards defined by the company and which allow us to deliver high-quality finished products to our customers.
The Red Algae are extracted on the southern coast of Chile, then they are dried, cleaned and packed according to the needs of each client. During the process, they undergo a rigorous quality control process for export to carrageenan-producing industries.
The Brown Algae are extracted on the northern coasts of Chile, then they are dried, ground and packed in bags, JUMBO BAGS, BIG BAGS or in bulk for export to alginate-producing industries.
